Working At STA
The people who work at STA are highly motivated individuals who continually drive themselves to succeed. It might be helpful to look at some of the practical aspects associated with a career at STA.
Hours
For a consultant, a typical work week can range from 45 - 50 hours. STA has an excellent information technology infrastructure and laptops are provided so you are able to work from home on the weekends, when necessary, and remain productive while traveling. While the hours may be challenging at times, the firm's compensation structure rewards those who put in the extra effort.
Travel
It should be no surprise that a career in consulting may require travel. The amount of travel could range from 0% to 100% but ultimately depends on the specific client engagement. We make every effort to reduce any travel burdens. Some clients allow you to work a Monday through Thursday workweek at the client site with Fridays as your own. We want you to get home and spend the long weekend with your friends and family whenever possible. We are continually exploring other ways to make travel less burdensome.

- Paid Time Off- You will be entitled to three weeks vacation prorated upon your start date, and seven paid company holidays per year. There are no predetermined number of sick days since we believe in treating our professionals respectfully and trust that you will use sick time when necessary and when appropriate.
- Health and Life Insurance Plans - STA pays 100% of the premiums for yourself and your eligible dependents! That's right. There is no employee contribution for any of our insurance plans which include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Long-term Disability. You may purchase supplemental LTD if you wish. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following your start date.
- Retirement/401 (k) Plan - You are eligible to participate after six months of employment on the first day of the next month.
